Creative Commons tv shows

German NDR public television is beginning an experiment to release its shows with a Creative Commons (BY-NC-ND) license. This basically means that you are free to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work under the following conditions:

• Attribution. You must give the original author credit.
• Non-Commercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes.
• No Derivative Works. You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work.

What I like the most is the reason for this: NDR is public television, and its director Jobst Plog says that the content has been already paid for by the tax which is due for owning a TV set. Indeed.
