My vote for this man

Henry Waxman, a Democratic congressman representing a Californian district, grilled the CEO of Lehman Brothers last Monday, during a session of the congressional committee on oversight and government reform - chaired by Waxman himself.

It was as if Waxman had rounded up all the angry thoughts of the little guys caught out by the credit crunch and channelled them directly at Richard Fuld. "Your company is bankrupt and our economy is in a state of crisis. Yet you get to keep $480m. I have a very basic question: Is that fair?"

This was just the start [...]

Will they call him "populistic"?

There is already Beppe Grillo here, you don't need to look at the United States!

Ok, and Marco Travaglio as well, but they are not MPs - it makes a difference.

The difference is that Grillo and Travaglio would never ever be let even close to what is the equivalent of a congressional committee in Italy!

Sad but, I fear, true.

Alex

PS Many thanks for the link!

@Alex: you're right, that's a lot more than simply being a PM. As for the link, you're welcome...
