Dario Franceschini, leader of the italian Democratic Party, proposed last week a one-off tax for incomes above €120,000. The money collected in this way would help pay a subsidy for the poorest. The Northern League expressed its approval, while the major party with the word “communist” in its name was contrary to the proposal.
