Suw Charman-Anderson encourages everybody to write about women that excel in technology, and promoted the first Ada Lovelace Day:

[…] an international day of blogging to draw attention
to women excelling in technology. Women's contributions often go
unacknowledged, their innovations seldom mentioned, their faces rarely
recognised. We want you to tell the world about these unsung heroines.

I'm not able to single out one name, so I'll stick with Ada Lovelace herself – a great person whom I have often cited as a role model to my daughters.

And yes, there should be a
special italian edition.
