Do they qualify as “trolls”?

I always took for granted that, if reading a book review on a newspaper, I could rely on the journalist and his measure in finding the right balance between what is worth saying about the synopsis, and what must be omitted in order to save the fun. Most of all, if the book is pure entertainment.

So I never complained with Piero Citati for telling me in advance how one of my favourite books ends… but I think the hate wave (some civilezed protests here and here) poured on Repubblica for spoiling Harry Potter’s final is well deserved.
