All Roads Lead to Rome

I found a curious little game to be played on Wikipedia, on the alternate text of a recent xkcd.com comic.

It is rather simple: choose a random page on Wikipedia, and click on the first link in the article text not in italics or parentheses, and then repeat. You will eventually end up at “Philosophy”. It is also a stable result, i.e. if you start over from there, you’ll be back to “Philosophy” within a few clicks.

So I tried it in italian, and observed that the convergence (again, a stable one) is on Latin.

At this point, I was curious and I tried it in all the other languages I’m able to read…

Slovenian: Znanost (Science)

German: Wissenschaft (Science)

French: Physique (Physics)

Doesn’it say something about national cultures?
