The permeable intranet

I was writing a post about "the walls coming tumbling down" – i.e. the blurring of the distinction between inside and outside the corporate firewall. Then an additional idea popped up into my mind, then another one, then an additional consideration and so on. So now I'm planning to write a series of posts, or perhaps a massive article about the subject. And, before I embark in this, I've set up a survey. So here goes the introduction:

The purpose of this survey is to gather insights about the perceived borderline between corporate intranets and the external, public web. The basic assumption is that the wall is permeable in principle,
and that there is an online projection of employee personal profiles on
public spaces while, on the other hand, external services and sites
extend their reach inside the boundaries of the corporate firewall.

Is
there a thesis I want to prove? Not necessarily, but – sure enough –
I'd like to test my assumption that the borderline is becoming
increasingly irrelevant.

Take the survey! (it's just 10 questions…)

Uh oh. Thanks for trying and for letting me know. Actually, I can see one unfinished survey: do you want me to remove it so you’ll be able to try again?

The survey you proposed got stuck somehow. Anyway, I did my best to fill it out.
    Ciao!
