By citing Italy’s colonial wars, Domiziana made me remember an article I read some time ago about the Lybia campaign. Citing an anthropological study of relations between nomads and sedentary people, the article gives an account of the suppression of Lybian guerrilla and the way the civilian population had been involved. Or, to be precise:
