Alpe Adria euroregion

I have the 3rd number of the Euregio magazine – Collaboration facts and ideas between Adriatic and Danube –  in my hands. The main articles are about linguistic barriers as the last remaining boundary in the
region and high quality in working life for women in Slovenia. Other articles include a great interview with Drago Jančar and some insights from other european cross-border regions – where the national borders are losing, or have altogether lost, their importance.

To cut it short: if you can read the following sentences written by Milan Rakovac

Ne vem, če še kdo še nekje, kot jaz v "Primorskem dnevniku", ima priložnost pisati in ogni lingua che ghe capita? (…) E una volta drio l’altra, per anni annorum, quando i me ciama a Trieste, come anche questi giorni, e gente de valor, discretamente i me domanda se podessi parla in ‘talian. But of course, may italian is broken, aimè, und meine english auch, but, well, but the hell…

or at least they make you wonder what sort of land they’re coming from, or why on earth should anybody find this funny…

…or you are simply enjoying the sun on a beach of the Alpe Adria euroregion, then you might find the magazine interesting.

The pdf is available for download in English, Italian, German, Slovenian, and you can read the blog here.
