Does Italy exist?

Limes – an Italian review of geopolitics – is going to issue a special number this autumn, dedicated to a controversial subject: does Italy exist?

After the last election and the remarkable success obtained by Lega Nord, a party which often makes explicit reference to secessionist tendencies coming from northern Italy, the question is directed to readers and researchers with the objective of collectively building a special number of the review.

The first article of the collection is about the special identity of the city which has been considered, for a long time, the moral capital of Italy – Milano, and its supposed special status.
